David and Renata Perkins married and began full-time ministry together in 2000. They founded and led a national student ministry, Desperation, while serving at New Life Church in Colorado Springs. After fifteen wonderful years of ministering to thousands of students, God gave David and Renata a burden to start Radiant Church in Kansas City.
In 2016, David, Renata and their four children (Dawson, Alivia, Adelyn & Justus) moved to Overland Park, Kansas to start Radiant Church. Radiant began as a prayer meeting in their living room and has grown into a thriving church.
David graduated with an undergraduate degree in religion from Southern Nazarene University in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and a graduate degree in theology from The King's Seminary in Van Nuys, California. He serves on the board of Every Home For Christ International in Colorado Springs, Colorado and enjoys dates with Renata, playing basketball with his sons, lattes with his daughters, and traveling. Renata graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in english and enjoys enjoys one on one times with her children, reading, and long walks with David.

David & Renata Perkins serve as the founding and lead pastors of Radiant Church. The pastoral staff and ministry team are led by the Lead Pastors. This team is responsible for the spiritual development of Radiant Church.

The trustees are members of the congregation who oversee the finances and direct the provision of the facilities needed by the church. They provide counsel to the Senior Pastor regarding the major financial commitments of the church.

The Overseers are five pastors of respected congregations who love Radiant Church and are willing to provide spiritual protection to the church. They may be called in to help in accountability matters relating to the Senior Pastor if requested by the Pastoral Staff or Trustees.
